Few recall that in the fist weeks of Trump's 2017 presidency, the media ensemble in unison kept calling Trump "weak", "ineffectual", and chanted one after another "Why can't we have a strong president like Vladimir Putin?"
It's kinda dandy how everything can be neatly synchronized and archetypal patterns can be readily found in the situations of life in general. It's sort of pretty how humans (maybe other creatures too) have an uncanny and infinite power of rationalization. Using a fart as analogous to a hurricane doesn't take away from the hurricane's hurricaneness, but doing so is annoying.
Speaking of the harmonies of the celestial spheres, as I tune into these lyrical melodies I am reminded that the foot and its encasement the shoe, are signified by Pisces a sign associated with such qualities as victim, martyr, sacrifice, and salvation, among others. (It also rules music and musical instruments). The interweaving of the mythic stories of Greece with the current and popular in some circles, identification of T-man as a demi-god, is not to be overlooked as the concept of the human-divine or semi-divine combo, take your pick, is uniquely illustrated in connection with these ancient tales. Volcanic spewing or not, we in AVL are ok with whatever moniker suits as long as the dump trucks keep coming and tents turn into tiny homes. Thanks, Steve for another encyclopedic journey into the mystic.
If the gods of the ancient world really were/are immortal, then why shouldn't they today sport names like Trump, El-on, Bezos, Zuckerberg and so on?
Are you familiar with the work of Ole Dammegard? He analyses "terrorist" events and claims that 99% of them are perpetrated by a sort of Deep-State travelling circus. He identifies certain symbols employed by the "terrorists," including the placement of shoes, as at the Butler incident (By analysing these clues/symbols, he is sometimes even able to tell when and/or where the next incident will be):
Thanks for reading Tirion. Yes, we have followed Ole’s work for quite a while now. There’s Behold a Pale Hirse and King Kill 33 before him too, so people have been on to these fookers for quite a while. And they are far more in the open, yet we are only inching toward general cognizance still.
Wilson is fascinating, and someday he will be recognized for approaching a correct version of British history. I have not read that particular book.
Dazzling!
Down to earth complement:
Trump's interlocutor being Putin, it is perhaps not totally frivolous to note that 'put' means 'path'.
To be trodden barefoot?

Then they got there 'about face' marching orders.

Always love your insights.

You mention Homer, and I remember that you are familiar with the work of the late, great Alan Wilson. Have you read Alan's analysis of "The Odyssey"?:
