Epiphany
An ecstatic reconnection between gods and mortals via music at the ancient Greek ritual sacrifice came through enthusiasm and epiphany. Enthūsiasmós, to be inspired or possessed by a god, even includes homophonically a reference to thysiázein, ‘to sacrifice’. The community en masse engages in what shamans alone do, using repetitive chant, dance, drum, music, incense and intoxicants to shift into another internal state. As to what depth of connection ensued, we can read the vase art as best we can for clues, but these performances glued aspects of the culture together for millennia. And always a ritual death focalized the procedure.
Epiphany is derived from epiphanea, ‘to manifest, to shine, to show’. Phanes the Orphic deity aligns with Mithras and Aeon. That the gods appeared at the sacrifice was evinced by natural signs: recognized by decrypting the flight of birds, an art sacrificial priestesses and priests specialize in. In fact, Apollo uses bird augury to learn that Hermes has stolen his cattle. Possession by a deity, as in an oracle, was not unheard of during these rituals, and it would be safe to assume there were visions of Olympians in attendance, potentially abetted by inhalation and ingestion of particular substances.
The Epiphany as a date recently shifted from celebratory to notorious, due to events that day in Washington DC in 2021. Traditionally the sixth of January not only signals the last of the Twelve Holy Nights,1 but celebrates the arrival of the three magicians (Hermes Trismegistus?) to honor the swaddling Christos. Rudolf Steiner brings up that originally January 6th marked the Christos’ baptism by John in the River Jordan, where the Holy Spirit enters him, manifesting as a dove. His explanation for this change is the church’s desire to reduce a traditionally tripartite human—body, soul, spirit—to only the first two, wherein the body became denigrated, and responsibility for one’s soul given fully over to the imperious priesthood. Our indwelling spirit was excommunicated out of Catholic discourse. Thus any teaching of a constitutional spirit—or innate godly part of us—was surgically excised, and any possible connection to the spiritual dimension exhibited by a human would be interpreted as one being possessed by a demon.2
The wraiths ran roughshod during the January 6th 2021 false flag operated by the spooks controlling Washington DC, and their narrative inversion of transforming peaceful patriots into domestic terrorists. This was Speaker of the House head harpy dipsomaniac Nancy Pelosi’s (wearing the fascist fasces) operation, from refusing President Trump’s request for National Guard protection for DC, to enlisting (now admittedly) untold number of uncover FBI, CIA and police agitators, who broke windows, opened doors to a crowd there to protest what has been proven six ways to Sunday a stolen election,3 killed two unarmed protesters coldly and brutally, had one police officer who died of a stroke lie in state in the Capitol rotunda, claiming he was murdered by the crowd, and has jailed dozens of people (some of them grandmothers who never even entered the capitol), including Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro, for not testifying before the commissariat committee who found just what it wanted to. Just last week the creepiest of daughters of the creepiest evil of sardonic sneer fathers (who orchestrated the 9/11 op) won an award for her role in generating suffering for the innocents wallowing in their own feces in in DC prison. Several FBI whistleblowers testified under oath that they were taken off investigations of child trafficking and told to find something on these protestors.4 If it was an ‘insurrection’ as the committee and the lower courts have concluded, somehow the insurgents all simultaneously forgot to bring weapons.5
Once again, a holi-day, a celebration of the sacred, whether it be three sages recognizing the return of the Light to the world, or the decent of that Light via the Dove during baptism, is capsized and subsumed, and we drown in malevolence, demoralized by the ubiquitous scope of what we are up against, and the gelded non-response of those supposedly in a position to enact real justice. Themis is the Greek goddess of justice. When she is ignored, Nemesis comes for proper comeuppance.

Yes, the original Greek sacrifice involved death, but it was life into death into life, whereas the operative DC cult only has the death part down. Christianity has forgotten the resurrection and fixates on the dead god on the tree, redeeming the fiction of an original sin no one committed. It is an incomplete initiation, aborted, which is worse than none at all. Because it leads inexorably to the death of gnosis. At least that is what they prey to their god for. What they cannot fathom, is that gnosis, the logos, holds all this together . . . and even their distortive evil is infeasible without it . . .
Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich
That’s how it goes
Everybody knows . . .
Everybody knows the plague is coming
Everybody knows it’s coming fast . . .

Epiphany of Hekate
If you say this to me many times, you will observe all things growing dark,
For the curved bulk of the heavens disappears
And the stars do not shine; the light of the Moon is hidden
And the Earth does not stand steady. All things are revealed in lightning.
Having spoken these things, you will behold a fire leaping skittishly like a child over the aery waves;
or a fire without form, from which a voice emerges;
or a rich light, whirring around the field in a spiral.
But [it is also possible] that you will see a horse flashing more brilliantly than light,
Or a child mounted on the swift back of a horse,
A fiery child or a child covered with gold, or yet again a naked child;
Or even a child shooting arrows, standing upon a horse’s back.
But when you see the sacred fire without form,
shining skittishly throughout the depths of the Cosmos,
Listen to the voice of the fire.

1 The Twelve Holy Nights celebration from the 24th of December to the 5th of January is mostly known through Rudolf Steiner’s anthroposophy. Each night corresponds to the months of the year and thus the zodiac. It is accounted the most inner-directed time of the year, therefore the most meditative. No one in anthroposophy, or elsewhere, seems to be bothered that the nights actually total thirteen. See, for example, Sergei Prokofieff, The Twelve Holy Nights and the Spiritual Hierarchies.
2 It is well-known that ‘demon’ as used by the Christian churches originally was daemon, an indwelling spirit or deity as helpmate. Its transformed and non-internal vestige in Christianity might be a guardian angel. In Plato’s Apology, Socrates claims for himself a daemon, who who never instructs him, but puts a brake on his errant behavior ere it occurs.
3 The Deep Rig (2001) and 2000 Mules (2022) are compelling, but you can go back to Hacking Democracy (2006) to see how easy it is to alter electronic voting machines. There is no political will anywhere to go to paper ballots, the only true solution. How can the ‘messy’ democracy of India, with a billion paper ballots, have no issue having results by nightfall?

Excellent. I got to meet Krys at Virginia Beach. Truely a great husband-wife team. Everybody knows...
Really good Steve! Love this!
The belief that a demon is bad and a nemesis is one’s undoing is simplistic thinking and paves the way for blind trust and obedience. Daemon and Nemesis are critical. Without them in play there is a hand placed on the scale by the true self-serving demon.
